We set this up on our tv in less than five minutes.

We are really enjoying the voice search remote feature. The android TV box has also enabled our TV to do Netflix which it could not before. Impressive amount of free trials that come with this.

HDMI cable was included. Supports 4K Ultra High definition, and features a high performance Quad-core CPU, and a 3+2 Core GPU that makes gaming faster. This is a big plus with my kids. We are loving this Jetstream 4K Ultra HD Android TV Box, and highly recommend to everyone. The voice activated remote is completely user friendly.i thought i would be having to go through a setup process for it.But TOTALLY did NOT.AWESOME!And it so far has matched everything i have said word for word.It has very simple installation instructions and also comes with USB and memory card slot you can use to play your own media.It gives you recommended and popular app suggestions to download which i thought were 'right on' for a goid start,especially for people that are familiar with 'smart tv's'. The one thing that i did notice though is that i basically had to download one app at a time.Otherwise they would just keep showing as pending.I am not sure if that has to do with the type of internet connection you have,mine was through my phone hotspot.But that did make it more time consuming than i woukd have liked. The Jetstream Android TV box is a decent performing TV box.

It's capable of Ultra High Definition (4k), but I am unable to comment on that because I don't have UHD TV. However, the picture quality on a standard HD TV was very good. The box has the requisite HDMI output to connect to HD devices, along with twin standard USB-A ports, an ethernet network connection port, a slot for SD cards, and an audio jack (3.5mm). For network connectivity, in addition to the previously mentioned RJ45 network port, it also features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The unit comes with a power adapter and it's a simple two cable connection to get up and running. With the power and HDMI cables connected, and the box turned on, it begins a basic setup procedure.

First up is pairing it with the included remote. Next, it will ask if you want to sign in with your Android/Google credentials from your phone.

If you say yes, it will pair with your phone, import your WiFi connection information, and then present you with a list of apps that are TV box appropriate, and you can check or uncheck any you don't want. Also displayed are the apps that are already built into the box (which can't be unchecked) so will be on your menu, even if you never use them. For the apps it does import, it will also bring you user information and password. Apps such as Google Play Store account, Netflix, YouTube, MLB-TV, etc, all will function.

If you choose not to have it import your phone/tablet info, it then goes through Wi-Fi network setup, after which you can start downloading and installing apps. The box has a few interesting and useful features, such as google assistant which lets you control it with you voice. Another feature that is has is built in Chromecast, so if you have a device and content you want to cast to your TV, this box will let you do it without additional hardware. You can also plug in and play any content you might have on SD cards, or USB drives.

Some users have commented on freezing during play back, but I have not seen this problem yet. Granted, I don't have a bunch of hours of watching, and trying different streaming sources, so I can't truly say that it's not a problem. The box comes pre-loaded with several free apps like You Tube and Pandora, but also subscription services like Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, HBO-Now, Sling and Showtime. Several of these also have free limited time trial offers included, so you can try before you buy. Lastly, this box comes running the latest version of Android (8.0/Oreo), which is surprising for a TV box.

I'm not familiar with the update cycle for Android on peripheral devices, so I don't know if it's anything that will be done in the future. If not, al least the version included will be several years from abandonment. All things considered, this is a decent box with enough features and ease of use that make it a good choice for first time Android TV box buyers. I want to start this review by stating that I received it for free in exchange for my honest opinion.

I say that because I truly don't like giving mediocre reviews and I do my best to give every product I receive for review the benefit of the doubt. That said.here goes:I have several years under my belt with using SmartTVs and Roku devices, etc. The setup of this was scarily easy. And by scarily I mean that it connected to my Google account and did absolutely everything automatically - I didn't even have to type in my WiFi password, Netflix password, etc. That type of automatic permissions makes me a bit uneasy.Once connected, the device itself works well and the picture is good.Here's my big gripes and why I'm only giving three stars: The pre-installed apps does not include Amazon Prime and it will not find that app in the GoogleApp/Play store to download/install. Also, despite messing with the settings/configuration multiple times, this thing is not only powering on by itself (and displaying a screen saver) when I'm not near it, but it's also powering on my TV and changing the input so it will be on the screen. This morning, my TV came on at 2am and startled me awake.and I've been awake ever sense.

Ain't nobody got time for that! My remotes are stored in my nightstand so nothing was accidentally pushed or triggered to cause this other than the device itself.Also of note, the 'top listed/most popular' apps includes Al Jeezera America TV, which apparently only operated from 2013-2016.If you have never had a SmartTV or Roku-type device, you might really enjoy this, but for me, after trying it, I have never loved my Rokus and SmartTVs more. I know this device is supposed to offer more features, but I found nothing to keep me using it over my other Smart devices. I can screen cast to my TVs from my phone/tablet, voice search via my phone and/or Roku, and hopefully sleep through the night once this device is unplugged and hidden away in a drawer.:(.

Or, as we see it, the box lets you toss aside the ugly UI and experience that came with your current smart TV.Priced at just $69, it’s sold at Walmart and found in the same space where you’ll find Roku, Fire Stick.As far as input and output are concerned, the Jetstream offers up a pair of USB-A ports, an ethernet jack, HDMI, optical audio out, and an AV jack. There is also a microSD card slot for local media playback and/or expanding the storage.

PAY WHAT YOU WANT:Internally, the set-top box comes with 8GB storage and draws power from a quad-core CPU. With support for Dolby Audio and 4K Ultra HD, it’s more or less everything you need in a TV today.Given the cheap cost of the Ematic Jetstream we figured that would be the case. We’re happy to report that this unit is actually pretty damn cool and feels polished.

In fact, our first sign that things were going to be alright was the dedicated Google Assistant button.The remote for the Jetstream set-top box has a built-in mic for performing voice searches and shortcut buttons to the Play Store, Netflix, and YouTube. Also included in the box is a set of batteries, and an HDMI cable.We found the Jetstream to be incredibly easy to set up and configure. It took us longer to log in with our various accounts for streaming services than to initially plug in and get going.This is something we can recommend to people even if they already own a smart television. As far as interface, intelligence, and convenience is concerned, Android TV is the way to go. The Jetstream is an affordable way to get that experience.Performance-wise the Jetstream works as well as we’d hoped. The remote is great, responds well, and feels intuitive. We’re able to hop back and forth from app to app with no stuttering or lags.

It’s every bit as easy to work with and manage as the NVIDIA SHIELD but without the gaming aspect.
